This property originally bought in 1978 by John Britten, who converted the former stable block of the Mona Vale estate into a family home. The once-grand homestead took a serious hit in the 2011 earthquake.
Engco worked behind the scenes to bring the very badly damaged unreinforced brick stables to life again.
With a mix of state of the art computer modelling, and practical construction sense, Engco were able to restore the structure, whilst enhancing the original aesthetic and leaving the brick exposed in all its former glory. As seen on Grand Designs NZ.
